Basilika St. Ursula

An event venue listed by Bandsintown in Cologne.

Plan your visit

The Romanesque Basilica of St Ursula is near Cologne Cathedral; its roots reach back to late-antique Roman Cologne, and it has been a pilgrimage destination for centuries. The Goldene Kammer is described as a notable ossuary; according to the parish, it is closed for restoration until 18 February 2027, and visits are not possible during that period. The basilica is generally open to the grille daily from 10:00 to 17:00; its 2026 schedule lists interior visiting hours on weekdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and daily from 15:00 to 17:00. Sightseeing is generally not possible during services.^[3][2][1]

Do

Before visiting the interior, check the current visiting hours; they differ from the basilica’s daily opening to the grille.^[2]
Register group visits or tours of the basilica in advance; the parish explicitly requests this.^[3]
